Week Ahead: 'Dog Walk' Fashion Show, 5K Training

Severna Park High School's prom will be held on Saturday.

A mother-daughter fashion show featuring furry friends, training for a 5K and prom for local students are just a few events happening around Severna Park this week.

5K Training Class with Spark Running
When:
Begins May 7
Where: Spark Running
Details: The class will lead up to the SPCA Tails and Trails Severna Park Edition on June 22.

Breakfast at the Elks
When:
May 7, 9 a.m.
Where: 160 Truck House Rd.
Details: All you can eat eggs any style, pancakes, bacon, grits, waffles, omelets, hash browns, corn beef, toast, fruit, coffee and tea. Cost is $9 a person.

Fashion for a Cause
When:
May 9, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Chesapeake Treasures
Details: Proceeds from the event will be used to support Chesapeake Kids, a program service of Hospice of the Chesapeake.

Mother-Daughter "Dog Walk" Fashion Show

Details: Girl Scout Troop 1788, from Folger McKinsey Elementary School, is holding a Mother-Daughter "Dog Walk" Fashion Show to benefit the Maryland Animal Sanctuary.
