Severna Park is about to get a lot sweeter, as local woman Abby Larkin has plans to open Sofi’s Crepes on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard this summer. Having lived in the area her entire life, opening a business in her hometown seemed like a perfect fit.

2. Severna Park Native Dies in Wisconsin Car Wreck
Hannah LeBlanc, 29, a student-teacher from Severna Park, died in a car wreck Sunday in Madison, WI. LeBlanc had spent a year with students at Annapolis High as part of her studies at the University of Maryland.

3. U13 Green Hornets Soccer Appoints New ‘A’ Coach
Scott Langlois will take over the reigns as the new head coach for the U13 Green Hornets girls soccer “A” team this year. Langlois hopes to prepare the girls for high school play. 

4. SPHS Student Earns Eagle Scout Rank
Severna Park High School senior Evan Rockenbauch recently earned Eagle Scout ranking. Rockenbauch is a member of Boy Scout Troop 993, which is sponsored by the Severna Park United Methodist Church.

5. Area Pools Open for 2013 Season on Saturday
It seems summer has officially arrived—Evergreen Estates Community Pool, North Severna Park Community Pool, and Oakleigh Forest Pool all opened for the 2013 season on Saturday.
