3. Anytime Fitness Coming to Park Plaza

Those looking for an around-the-clock workout facility will soon have a new option in Severna Park. Anytime Fitness has begun a construction of a new location in Park Plaza. Anytime Fitness is projected to open sometime in March, according to the owner of the Severna Park business.

The Severna Park High School girls and boys swim teams both took first place at the regional competition on Saturday in Annapolis. The boys topped Broadneck 331-292. And the girls team defeated Annapolis, who topped them in the county competition, 296-289.

5. Chatting with Franklin's Toys Owner Jeff Franklin

This week Patch spoke with Franklin's Toys owner Jeff Franklin. Franklin's Toys has been in business since 1985 and the store itself is a dream destination for kids of all ages. In fact, Franklin's Toys has been around long enough that Franklin says he now sees second-generation customers—adults who used to be kids in the store now shop for kids of their own.
