—a local group that helps community members in need—is hosting a quarter auction at Woods Memorial Church on April 19 to raise funds for a clinic in Nueva San Jose, Guatemala. When built, the clinic will serve 10,000 people.

Police said a Crownsville man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a Millersville motorcycle crash near the intersection of Veterans Highway and Benfield Boulevard on April 7.

3. Man Guilty of Illegally Removing Trees to Improve Homeowner View of Severn River
The owner of an Edgewater tree service was convicted Tuesday on three counts of violating environmental regulations for cutting down trees in Severna Park so homeowners could have a better view of the Severn River.

Zito Pleads Guilty in Family Violence Incident
James Arthur Zito, the 22-year-old Millersville man who was accused of stabbing his mother in July 2012, pleaded guilty to second-degree assault in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court in Annapolis Tuesday morning.
