SP Ravens Nest Makes Donation to SPCA

The Ravens Nest 10 donated $3,000 to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.

For the second year in a row the SPCA of Anne Arundel County received a generous donation from Severna Park’s Ravens Nest 10.

The Ravens crew that meets at Bill Bateman’s in Severna Park donated $3,000 to the SPCA Wednesday night. Last year the group donated $2,000.

“We were pleasantly surprised to receive another donation," said SPCA event coordinator Mindy Nelson. “It’s an honor to be one of their charities and we so appreciate their generosity.”

Nelson said each year the Ravens Nest chooses five different charities to support. The SPCA has been nominated two years in a row. The money goes towards medical care for the animals, supplies and shelter.

“The money allows us to take care of the 100 plus animals that are at our shelter at any given time and it helps with the running our community programs,” Nelson said.
