Patch invites readers to contribute photos and stories in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

Are you a breast cancer survivor? Do you have a story to share? Patch wants to give you a place to inspire and encourage each other. Send us your photos of those 5Ks, pink parties, dog walks and luncheons.

  • A 16 year survivor of breast cancer,of Severna Park was featured last year on Severna Park Patch for her work in building a foundation to help others. 
  •  In remembrance of their dear friend Kim Jolliffe, who lost her battle to breast cancer two years ago, the raises money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Arnold/Annapolis. This story was featured in April, 2011.
  • In June, celebrated the life of beloved teacher with a special day dedicated to her memory with students, staff and family members. 
  • In August,ninth-grader was featured for his two day, 200 mile bike ride to raise money awareness of cancer.
