Police: 22 Teens Charged with Drinking at Party

More than 20 teens were charged with underage drinking violations at a Severna Park home on March 23. Police said it was the third call to the home in four months.

Severna Park Native Among Those in Seton Hill Bus Crash

A bus carrying the Seton Hill University women's lacrosse team crashed March 16 on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, killing the team's coach and the bus driver. Twenty other passengers were reportedly injured in the crash. The team had four players from Maryland including goal keeper Kaitlyn Flaskerud who played at Severna Park High School, according to The Baltimore Sun.

New Thriller Filming in Severna Park this Summer

A suspense thriller in the vein of Hitchcock will soon be filming in Severna Park. The Sick, from Prosense Productions, will begin filming in Severna Park and the surrounding area between April and June of 2013, the film's executive producer Andrea Baker said.

Police Release Photos of Suspected Severna Park Bank Robber

An unidentified man robbed the Capital One Bank in Severna Park on Feb. 22 at approximately 2:55 p.m., according to police. The man displayed a note demanding money before taking an undisclosed amount of currency and fleeing the bank.

CPR Saves Life After Racquetball Game in Millersville

Employees using CPR at a fitness club in Millersville saved the life of a Pasadena man on March 15. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department said in a press release that a 72-year-old man collapsed while playing racquetball at the Severna Park Racquetball and Fitness club. Two employees, Kevin Davis and Chuck Newby, came to his rescue, armed with an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).

What are they Building on Jumpers Hole Road?

If you've passed through Jumpers Hole Road in Severna Park,  you've surely seen a construction crew hard at work on a four-story building across from Severna Park Middle School. Brightview is a 141-apartment community for seniors that will provide maintenance-free independent living, assisted living and memory care when it opens in the fall.

A handwritten sign on the door of the old Severna Park Post Office building announces two new businesses set to open soon. Zarrilli's Steaks and Hoagies Inc., and Arundel Marine Construction Inc., are both under construction inside the building at 513 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd.
