Holy Grounds Renovations Still Underway

The building was supposed to be finished on March 15, but repairs to the floors have caused some delays.

Those eager to get look at the remodeled Holy Grounds at the Severna Park Community Center have had to wait a little longer than expected.

The $15,000 in renovations, being done by Home Depot, have been delayed due a variety of reasons and because the floor was in need of more work.

“There was just so much that needed to be sanded and prepped and painted,” said Executive Director Jennie Boden. “The details around the very high windows were a lot of work.”

Along with the painting, Home Depot is also sanding the floors and adding a light stain to make them look brighter and newer. Boden said this work should be completed by the end of next week.

Do to the demand on Holy Grounds, a few events have been held in the building this week, but Boden said it should be back in full swing April 1.

The community center is asking for some more help to finish the project. They need volunteers on Tuesday to help with painting. Those interested should contact the SPCC at 410-647-5843.
