Giant Fundraiser Fights Childhood Cancer

The Severna Park Giant is selling game tickets this month to benefit the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center.

Jaye Ann Thompson, the cheerful and friendly longtime employee who always has a smile for every customer, was cruising the store wearing bright yellow bunny ears on Saturday. She was greeting customers and waving hello to friends while selling game tickets for a food store fundraiser to benefit the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center and The Children's Cancer Foundation.

Each $1 game scratch-off ticket brings a chance to win a gift card, free products or a coupon worth at least $1. There are also chances to instantly win $5,000 and $10,000. Customers can purchase tickets at any register, at any Giant, throughout April.

All donations go directly to Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center and The Children's Cancer Foundation Inc.
