Community Update

Bodyworx Spa of Severna Park will officially open it's doors on Monday, December 9, 2013.  The owner, JoAnne Schultz, is a former Physical Education/Health Teacher who spent eleven years with Annapolis Area Christian School.  After the economy started to decline, she found herself unemployed, and unable to find employment in her field. While looking to stay in the health industry, as she has been so passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, and the fact that she has been a fitness instructor with Sport Fit in Bowie for over 24 years, she decided to go completely out of her comfort zone and start her own business, and health spa.    

After much thought and consideration, she teamed up with her partner and brother-in-law, Edward Schultz, and totally remodeled the previous dance supplies store which she now operates out of, and transformed it into a beautiful and serene space.  The spa is a total wellness center that will include massage, acupuncture, and aesthetician services.  Acupuncture can be given with or without needles, for those who are fearful of needles.  We also have nutritional counseling if someone is interested in learning more about what nutrients their body is lacking or needs. We have massage, and can custom that to your needs, and full aesthetician services including facials and waxing services.

Bodyworx Spa's goal is to give the ultimate premier spa experience and superior customer service the moment you walk through their door.  We feel so privileged to be members of the Severna Park community and have already met so many kind people through the Chamber of Commerce and through other local businesses.  We cannot wait to meet many more of you, and hope that you will stop by and see what we have done with the place.  

We are also going to be offering discounts to the people who serve our community everyday, and so fireman, police, and military, will receive discounts one day a week off of all services.  We feel it is important to give back to the people who protect and serve us everyday and so we want to reward them for their courageous duty.
