What’s Going On with the Old Post Office?

Those of you hoping for a new sandwich shop in Severna Park may have to wait a little longer.

The former Severna Park Post Office has had a hand-written note on the door for several months indicating a new sandwich shop was coming to the area, but signs of visible progress have been scarce.

The sign on the building says Zarrilli's Steaks and Hoagies Inc. is under construction inside the building at 513 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. However, it appears they are still working out arrangements with the county. 

According to Tracie Reynolds, a spokesperson for Anne Arundel County Planning and Zoning, the sandwich shop is addressing site development issues at the request of the county's planning and zoning department after a change in zoning use at the location. No opening date has been set for the business.
