The Second of 12 Unique Gifts to Buy in Severna Park

Patch will be featuring unique gifts found in Severna Park stores to help you be a standout shopper this season. Here's the second pick of the season.

Holiday-inspired lacrosse shorts were the first pick featured on Dec. 3 and found at Behind the Back in the Severna Park Village Shopping Center.

The second find is one of piano music, performed by local musician and long- time Severna Park resident Jeff Harding.

His recordings titled, I'm Home for Christmas, and the latest release, A Christmas Song, can be found at in Park Plaza, B.J.'s Blings & Things consignment shop, and. A Christmas Song is available at Pat's Hallmark in Park Plaza as well.

"It was so much fun, I decided to do A Christmas Song," Harding wrote in an email.

Harding has been playing piano professionally for more than 30 years.

The latest release, I'm Home for Christmas, was released two years ago. It
includes 10 songs by artists such as Vince Guaraldi and Mel Torme. Although a majority of the selections are piano music, the release does include four vocal tracks, Harding said.

"The vocals were done in the tradition of the Christmas crooners that graced our turntables when I was growing up. Bing Crosby and Mel [Torme] were welcome vocalists in our home. Singing A Christmas Song, made me feel quite nostalgic," wrote Harding.

A portion of the purchase price goes to the Rebecca Harding Memorial Fund, which contributes to local charities and scholarships. If you have any questions, call Harding at 410-980-6626.

The albums sell for $10. Music lovers will delight in his tunes while supporting a local artist.

Have you seen something that would make a great gift to give that is available in a Severna Park store? Send your idea to leslie.hunt@patch.com.

This is very funny! I was at the Big Vanilla in Pasadena this evening and saw Jeff there. We met for the first time at the AA County fair in September. I walked away with both of his CD's - sound unheard. He's a classically trained pianist so I was interested to hear both of the CD's. I like supporting local talent and businesses. I'll let you know what I think.
