SPCC Set to Host 13th Spaghetti Dinner

The Severna Park Community Center's spaghetti dinner will be held on Oct. 13 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Severna Park Community Center is gearing up for one of their biggest events of the year—the 13th annual spaghetti dinner.

The dinner will be held on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at St. Martin’s in the Field Church with proceeds benefiting the community center.

“I am really excited about it because from my understanding it is big fun community event that becomes standing room only,” said new SPCC director Jennie Boden. “About 500 people attend every year and it is a pretty big deal for us.”

Ledo Pizza will provide the pasta and several other local businesses are pitching in for the cause including Garry’s Grill (salad) Café Bretton, Adam’s Ribs and more.

Boden said she has been hearing stories about the Ledo food supply.

“They tell me that Ledo Pizza brings these huge tubs of sauce and just when you think they are going to run out then they bring another one in,” Boden said.

The event draws people of all ages and thanks to the early 5 p.m. start time it is perfect for kids with early bedtimes, according to Boden.

The prices for the event are the same as they have been for years: $10 for adults; $5 for kids ages 4 to 8; and free for children under 3. There will also be beer and wine available for purchase.

The dinner will also feature celebrity servers, which will include your own Severna Park Patch Editor…Kaitlyn Carr.

“Everyone keeps telling me that it is really fun and the food is really good. So I can’t wait,” Boden said.

Tickets are available at the SPCC or at the door. St. Martin’s in the Field Church is located at 375 Benfield Rd.
