Spark Running is offering another round of its nine-week program, A New Kind of 9 to 5, aimed to help you train for a 5K. The store will hold an informational meeting on Tuesday at 6:15 p.m.
The program is geared to non-runners or runners who have been out of practice for a while and are looking to get back into shape. Spark Running owner Caitlin Burman said the start of a New Year is a great time to get back into physical activity.
“A lot of people have it as a New Years resolution and even though it is cold outside we are still going to get out there and run,” Burman said.
Tuesday’s meeting will provide those interested in the program with additional information and they can also ask questions to past participants.
The new session of A New Kind of 9 to 5 will begin on Jan. 15. Practices will be held on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at 6:15 p.m. Participants will be gearing up for the Bowie Towne Center 5K on March 23.
The cost for the class is $50 for new students and $35 for returning students. For more information stop by the meeting at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday at Spark Running or call 410-544-3184.
