Paper Trousseau in Severna Park has moved to a new location across town citing the need for a smaller space.
The store well-known for its stationery products has moved from its location on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard to a new home on Evergreen Road—the former location of Maine Cottage.
“We recently announced that we were phasing out some of our retail and in doing that we didn’t need as much space as we had,” said owner Tammi Molavi. “When we found out this space was available we were very excited.”
Molavi stressed that the store is not getting rid of any of its stationery and invitation items, only some of the gift items it previously carried. Molavi said the store will still have stationery available to its customers, but Paper Trousseau is scaling back on how much they stock.
“We are discussing more ways to get products to customers who want them,” Molavi said. “We may look into a monthly market or trunk shows.”
The Maine Cottage used to be in Paper Trousseau’s new location at 8 Evergreen Rd., but the furniture décor store moved to a larger showroom in Annapolis in November.
Paper Trousseau opened up at Evergreen Road on Jan. 1, and Molavi said she really likes the location so far.
“The new space is very similar to the old space in the feel—it has the high ceilings too,” she said. “It still has a creative vibe to it. We really like it.”
