GNC in Park Plaza Now Open

GNC joined the ever-growing list of new businesses to open in Severna Park. The wellness store opened in Park Plaza on Monday.

With locations already in the Glen Burnie and Annapolis malls, co-owner Scott Salafia said the Severna Park location had been in the works for a while.

“While the area has a lot of development, there were not a lot of spaces that could accommodate us,” Salafia said. “I’ve worked in a lot of areas in the past, and this seems like a good one —lots of nice people.”

GNC fills the storefront vacated by Mattress Warehouse in Park Plaza, the store is splitting the space with Noodles & Company, which has not yet set an opening date.

The store offers anything one could need for wellness. Salafia said GNC stocks vitamins, protein powders, a wide-rage of digestive health products, weight-loss supplements and more.

Salafia said the Severna Park location is unique in that it’s locally operated and offers a family atmosphere.

AJ Hribal, who has a background in nutrition and exercise, will manage the store.
