Kid-Friendly Stocking Stuffers in Severna Park

Patch offers a list of fast and inexpensive ideas for last-minute gifts.

The presents are wrapped and now it's time to fill those stockings hung by the chimney with care. Here are a few suggestions to shop locally, get your stockings filled and still have time left over for a soak in the tub.

1. —Gift cards and $2 subs
Get a free 6-inch sub with purchase of a $25 gift card. If you get a gift card for a smaller denomination, kids can redeem these cards in December and get a 6-inch sub (meatball or cold cut) for only $2 through the rest of December.

2. —Winter Treat Packs
This promotion is not widely publicized, but Severna Park locations are selling Winter Treat Packs for a $1. The packs include 12 coupons, redeemable for a free small ice cream cone, hamburger, a white milk jug/juice box and apple slices. A child (younger than 12) must be present when redeeming these coupons (one item per child), but this is a great deal for larger families or sports teams. Coupons expire on March 31, 2013.

3. Click it and pick it
Don’t have time to buy and wrap gifts? Let Franklin’s do the busy work for you.  You can order products online, select “Local Checkout” and they will pick out the present and wrap it for you by the next day. In-store pickup will be available until Dec. 23 at 5 p.m.

4. —Clearance, Yes Pass, Kohl’s cash and late hours
Kohl’s has a section of toys that is usually beefed up during the holidays. With a little digging, smart shoppers can find clearance items there. Take advantage of the YesPass to get an additional 20 percent off online orders or 15 percent off in-store orders. You can flash that YesPass on your smartphone to get the discount.

Shoppers also get Kohl’s cash ($10 for every $50 spent), which can be redeemed from Dec. 25 to Jan. 2, 2012—perfect for spending on out-of-state family and friends you’ll be seeing after Christmas Day. Kohl’s is also open until midnight during the Christmas shopping season.

5. —Great gifts at a great price
From Angry Birds plushies, Star Wars figurines, Snuggies and iPhone accessories, gifts from Five Below will please kids of all ages at a price that is nice.
