National Coffee Day is Sunday, Sept. 29. If you’re dragging a bit, you can get a free cup at a number of local coffee shops. Here are some of the deals and Severna Park area locations—check ahead to ensure they are still participating in the national promotion:
Dunkin’ Donuts, 604 Ritchie Highway and other locations. Download the Dunkin’ Donuts mobile app, which is free, and look under “offers.” You can get a free hot or iced coffee with the mobile app.

The National Coffee Association says 83 percent of Americans have had a cup of coffee in the past year.
While there are some health concerns about over-consumption of caffeine, “for most people the health benefits [of consuming coffee] outweigh the risks,” according to the Mayo Clinic.
