Five Guys Burger Joint to Open in Severna Park

The burger restaurant will open in the spot formerly occupied by Jack in the Box Toys.

A Five Guys Burgers and Fries is coming to Severna Park soon, according to sources at franchise headquarters.

The restaurant will occupy the location that previously housed Jack in the Box Toys at 549 Ritchie Highway beginning sometime around Thanksgiving.

The Zagat award winning restaurant chain is well known for its burgers, boasting that there are more than 250,000 possible ways to order a burger at Five Guys. They also claim to use only fresh ground beef, never frozen, and peanut oil.

The menu is simple: only burgers, fries and dogs. But don’t be looking for a milkshake, chicken or salad to go with that. Their trans-fat free menu doesn’t include it.

Five Guys opened its first location in Arlington, VA, in 1986. The organization grew quickly, opening five more locations around the Washington, DC, area during the next five years. Eventually franchises began to expand outward, creating more than 750 locations in more than 40 states and four Canadian provinces.
