CVS Pharmacy Coming to Severna Park

Small shopping center adjacent to Earleigh Heights Fire Station will be replaced with pharmacy.

Thanks to loyal Severna Park Patch reader Sue Birch who asked about the possibility of a CVS pharmacy coming to the area in the vicinity of the along Ritchie Highway.

The answer is yes.

According to a CVS/pharmacy corporate spokesman, the company has signed a lease to open a store at 157 Ritchie Highway year after next in 2013.

At this time they are in the early stages of planning and development with construction not anticipated to begin until sometime next year.

The store will be a stand alone building replacing the current strip mall space which currently houses only four remaining operating businesses.

Owners of the dry cleaners and Perfection Nails did not want to comment on the upcoming changes but are planning to remain in business and will relocate to nearby locations, yet to be determined.

The carry-out restaurant will be relocating further south ono Ritchie Highway, in the strip mall next to 1st and all current employees will be dispersed among other nearby salon franchises when the current location closes. No employees are aware of when these changes will occur. 

CVS/pharmacy is a retail pharmacy operating with more than 7,200 stores in the country.
