Construction of Severna Park Chick-fil-A Underway

The former KFC building in Severna Park was knocked down and Chick-fil-A is now under construction.

Construction for Severna Park’s Chick-fil-A on Ritchie Highway has begun.

The former KFC building was demolished and crews have started working on building the new Chick-fil-A.

Tracie Reynolds, a spokesperson for Anne Arundel County Planning and Zoning said she did not have a timetable on when the Chick-fil-A would be complete, but projected that it wouldn’t be too much longer. The old building has been demolished and grading for the new structure has begun, Reynolds said.

In an effort to help with traffic concerns in the area, Chick-fil-A will be making some improvements to Leelyn Drive.

“They are closing one existing access point on Leelyn Drive and leaving the second existing access, as well as installing curb, gutter, and sidewalk along their frontage on Leelyn Drive,” Reynolds said.
