Breakfast Shoppe to Host ‘Taylor Wild Day’ June 29

The Severna Park restaurant will present a check to Friends of The Fallen in honor of Lance Cpl. William Taylor Wild IV.

The Breakfast Shoppe in Severna Park will host ‘Taylor Wild Day’ on June 29, and will present a check to Friends of the Fallen in Lance Cpl. William Taylor Wild IV’s name.

After Wild was killed during a training exercise March 18 in Nevada, the Breakfast Shoppe began collecting donations for Friends of the Fallen, a support group of volunteers located at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. The group provides assistance to families of the fallen.

Breakfast Shoppe owner Kyle Algaze said Wild frequented the restaurant often, and even stopped by for chicken and waffles the day before he left for training in California.

After Wild passed, The Breakfast Shoppe community was left to mourn, and decided they wanted to do something to honor Wild.

Algaze and The Breakfast Shoppe staff will present a check to board members of Friends of the Fallen at noon on Saturday. “Taylor Wild Day” will also feature Taylor's Chicken and Waffles as the featured special, Algaze said. Cake will also be served.
