Big Bean Offers Discount to Furloughed Workers
If you've been furloughed, The Big Bean will give you 50 cents off your favorite cup of coffee.
Some government employees may have been deemed non-essential, but The Big Bean wants those furloughed employees to know they are essential to the coffee shop.
In an effort to help furloughed government workers, The Big Bean announced they will offer a discount to those with government ID.
"If you've been freakin' furloughed, The Big Bean will give you 50 cents off your cup off coffee," The Big Bean announced in a flier.
Owner Deb Hoffman said the shop was, "Just helping those furloughed folks out in the 21146."
The Big Bean offer will be good until "congress gets their groove back."
