Best Place in Elkridge for Sporting Goods

Tell us where you shop for your gear.

Howard County was recently in Maryland in part because 82 percent of residents participate in physical activities.

In addition, The Baltimore Sun reported last week that Howard County's recreational facilities function as tourist attractions.

So we know you're out there breaking a sweat and you have plenty of places to do it, but where do you go when it's time to get your equipment?

Here are some Elkridge options we've found, but if we're leaving anyone off the list, please let us know in the comments. (Also, if you own or manage a business, —it's free.)

Vote in the poll anytime between 5 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Friday. The winner will be determined based on votes and reviews in our business directory. (Read complete rules in the attached PDF.)

We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

So vote for your favorite sporting goods store, and don't forget to tell us why in the comments!

What about Play It Again Sports? The staff is knowledgable and you can buy new or used at good prices!

Hockeymom, I agree about Play It Again Sports, but I think this is supposed to be more focused on the Elkridge area, which, frankly, stinks for sporting goods. If anyone is reading this and has a few bucks to throw around, would someone please open a Play It Again Sports in the new shopping area @ 103 & 100? That would be a perfect place to catch all the athletes going to Rockburn and those needing a quick stop of off 95.

You're correct--the poll includes Elkridge businesses only, which is why Play It Again Sports isn't listed. If you want to vote for it as your favorite place for sporting goods, here's where to go (Ellicott City Patch's poll): http://patch.com/A-srpj
