Maryland: New Faces in New Places

A look at the new coaching talent coming to Maryland.

As many of us have already heard, the Unniversity of Maryland recently hired Mark Turgeon as the the university's new basketball coach. Also, back in January, Maryland hired Randy Edsall to take over a young Maryland football team.

Both coaches have great backgrounds, as Turgeon was the winner of the Big 12 Coach of the year for 2010 and 2011. Also, the former Aggie had led Texas A&M to four straight NCAA tournaments and had an 97-40 overall record.

Edsall was just as successful, leading his Connecticut huskies to a 74-70 record over 12 seasons and also leading his ball club to the schools first ever BCS birth and played in the Fiesta bowl.
