New Thriller Filming in Severna Park this Summer

A suspense thriller in the vein of Hitchcock will soon be filming in Severna Park.

The Sick, from Prosense Productions, will begin filming in Severna Park and the surrounding area between April and June of 2013, the film's executive producer Andrea Baker said. 

The film, directed by Felix Penzarella based on a concept by Baker, is a throwback to the days of Alfred Hitchhock's thrillers. The idea of the film delves into a couple's relationship and their circumstances regarding an unknown illness.

The Sick has been in development and preproduction since 2011. Over the weekend, the crew spent time interviewing dozens of candidates during a casting call in Washington DC in which they were seeking actors for more than 10 roles.

The production crew was interviewed recently by The Examiner. The film will benefit from repeat viewings, the crew said.
