The Many Faces of Watercolor

Benfield Galley is pleased to present "The Many Faces of Watercolor" an invitational solo exhibit of watercolors by nationally recognized Maryland artist Ardythe Jolliff.  The exhibit opens on May 23 and continues through June 23, 2011.

Award-winning artist Ardythe Jolliff of Edgewater, Maryland, had devoted her career to painting.  Her paintings invite viewers to use their imaginations and explore the wonders of nature.  She depicts light and shadow, rich color and the world's special glow in her watercolor paintings.  Her subject matter ranges from flowers, birds, and shells to buildings, landscapes and water views.  She is well known for her local scenes of Annapolis and the Naval Academy.

The public is invited to meet the artist on Saturday, June 2, 2012, 2 - 4 pm.  Jolliff will discuss her techniques and the source of her inspirations when creating a painting.  Light refreshments will be served.  This event is free to the public.
