Auditions for Maryland Senior Idol

Anne Arundel County seniors age 60 and older who have not sung for a living are invited to enter the fifth annual Maryland Senior Idol Vocal Competition and Benefit.

Auditions for Anne Arundel County vocalists will take place February 18, starting at 12:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Pascal Senior Activity Center, 125 Dorsey Road, Glen Burnie. Performers should be prepared to sing a song no longer than three minutes and provide their own music. Two winners will then represent Anne Arundel County in the state competition to be held on March 30 at the Chesapeake Arts Center Theater. In addition to the March 30 performance, participants must be available to attend a dress rehearsal on March 29.

Tickets are $6 at the door for the March 30 competition, with proceeds to benefit the Maryland Food Bank.
