1K Fun Run and Fun Fest for Kids

Wooden Nickel Park

Wooden Nickel Park Comes to Kinder Farm Park as a park within the park which is dedicated to connecting children and their families with nature.

Wooden Nickel Park will hold its first fundraising event on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Kinder Farm Park. Events will kick-off with a1K Fun Run followed by a Kid Fest. The 1K will start at 9:00 AM withregistration at 8:00 AM.  The Fun Fest will run till Noon. The funds will be used to construct the first Wooden Nickel Park at Kinder FarmPark. Every child under the age of 12 who crosses the finish line will receive a wooden nickel.

The first male and female grandparents that cross the finish line will also receive awards. Immediately followingthe 1K Fun Run, the Kid Fest will begin.

There will be games, face painting, limbo log, frog toss, other fun games of chance and skill, and a hayride. The goal is to have fun.

We are looking for an individual who is willing to become Woodside, the spokesfrog. We will tailor the outfit to fit.

There will also be a lemonade stand where you will be able to purchase water and lemonade for a $1.00.

The gate fee to Kinder Farm Park will be waived till 11:30 am for participants the day of the 1K Fun Run and Kid Fest.
