Tuesday's Wind Litters Lawns, Streets With Trash

Wind gusts caused trash cans and recycle bins to topple, blowing trash into yards and streets.

The county's waste management crews couldn't keep up with the wind Tuesday as strong gusts caused many trash cans and recycling bins to overturn around noon, littering lawns and streets of some neighborhoods.

The National Weather Service is predicting wind gusts of up to 33 mph for this afternoon and cold temperatures for most of the week.
