Paper Trousseau Celebrates One Year Anniversary

Severna Park paper, invitation and gift store throws a party to celebrate the milestone.

The celebrated their one year anniversary at the Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard location on March 1  with about 35 to 40 clients, employees, vendors, family and friends attending to toast the milestone. The party theme for the food, decorations, favors and front window display coordinated with the turquoise and brown Paper Trousseau logo.

Owner Tammi Molavi bought the paper, invitation and gift store on Jan, 1, 2010 from former owner Jeanne Poole who had previously owned the business for seven years. Molavi’s background prior to owning the store as a freelance corporate event planner has contributed to her success as a small business owner.

When Molavi purchased the store she decided to relocate to the heart of  the Severna Park shopping district to take advantage of more foot traffic.

Probably one of her most satisfying aspects is working with wedding clients.  “Our wedding clients are always fun to work with.  They give us the opportunity to show off the latest trends in stationery to compliment their personal style for their wedding day,” said Molavi, adding that the customer service aspect is most appealing.  “Definitely, working with customers to create exactly what they are looking for is the best part of my job.  I love the daily interaction with our customers.”

When asked if there were any challenging aspects of the business Molavi said: “Everyday brings a new challenge with the job of finding the perfect invitation for our customers.  Every event is special and that makes every invitation unique in its own way.”

As prom and graduation season quickly approaches, the store will be busy with  party invitations and announcements and personalized gifts.
