But in America, the celebration, which typically involves drinking beer and eating traditional Bavarian delicacies, lasts throughout the month. , Annapolis, has a special Oktoberfest menu. The family-owned West Annapolis eatery specializes in German cuisine.

Blob’s Park, in Jessup, claims to be home to America’s first Oktoberfest. It features a huge beer list, traditional polka bands and a menu that includes both German specialties and good, old American bar food.
