Forecasts Call for Snow, Cold Winds Thursday and Friday

Between 1-3 inches is expected late Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Weather forecasters predict measurable snow overnight in Anne Arundel County.
Between 1 to 3 inches is expected to fall Thursday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Highs Thursday are expected to be around 40 degrees, with a 100 percent chance of snow after 9 p.m.

Thursday night will be cold, with temperatures plummeting down into the 20s. NWS is calling for strong, cold winds following snow overnight Thursday and into Friday morning, with accumulations of snow between 1 to 3 inches. 

If the snow does fall, it will likely stick around for a little while. NWS is calling for a blustery Friday with a predicted high temperature of 20 degrees. There is also a 30 percent chance of snow before 7 a.m. Friday, though little to no additional accumulations are expected. Friday night should be clear with a high of 22 degrees.

The rest of the weekend will be slightly warmer, but still cold. NWS is calling for highs in the mid 30s Saturday. Sunday should be in the low 40s, with a 30 percent chance of rain and snow.
