Chick-fil-A Now Open at Pasadena Crossroads

Grand opening celebration held Thursday morning with official ribbon-cutting by the Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce.

The tents are now gone, the first 100 people, some from as far away as Florida, are  back on the road after being awarded the free pass for a year's worth of sandwiches at 6 a.m. Thursday at the newly-opened Chick-fil-A in the Pasadena Crossroads shopping center.

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony followed at 8 a.m., hosted by the with local dignitaries, including State Del. Cathy Vitale (R-District 33) and State Sen. Ed Reilly (R - District 33), who stated to the crowd that he would be a "frequent flyer" to the new location. Vitale presented the owner of the restaurant, Patrick Cozadd, with a "Welcome" citation.

"This is going to be such a welcome and long-awaited part of the community. We are thrilled to be part of the grand opening," said Linda Zahn, cheif executive officer for the Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce. "I've never seen a business that has a following like this, opening with a parking lot full of tents. It's amazing," she said.

Cozadd, a Pasadena resident and former owner of the Chick-fil-A at Marley Station Mall, expects to work closely with the school and church community. In the meantime, he's busy with his staff of 70 in serving his new customers.

"This shopping center [Pasadena Crossroads] needs a boost—this is great," said Richard Legare, of Capitol Title and a member of the Severna Park Chamber of Commerce.
