Boosting Your Child's Self Esteem

What tips can you share on boosting your child's self esteem from school, to sports to social outings and friendships?

How often do we as the parent, hear our child say things like “I stink. I’m terrible. I’m never going to win the game ball, etc.”? It’s hard as a parent to make sure your child has a good strong sense of self confidence and self esteem.

For many kids (and adults alike) this is a hard thing to achieve. Many kids are very shy and quiet and therefore don’t always speak up or communicate their achievements or actively seek out friendships as quickly or easily as others.

Certain achievements like a good grade on a test or making an all-star team are achievements children and teens can be proud of.

Often times parents, coaches and teachers can play a critical role in boosting their self esteem.
