No, it's not just you ... it really is abnormally cold out there.

In fact, Tuesday's measurement broke daily and monthly records for the minimum temperatures in Baltimore, according to the National Weather Service.

The old record—5 degrees—was set in 1873, the weather service reported.

The temperature in Baltimore was 4 degrees, the National Weather Service reported at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

"The minimum temperature of 4 degrees from today was also the lowest minimum temperature recorded on any day in March for Baltimore," according to the report.

March's previous record-low temperature was 5 degrees, recorded on March 4, 1873.

At Dulles Airport, the temperature dropped to -1 degree Fahrenheit Tuesday, matching the monthly record low set on March 15, 1993, after a blizzard, Accuweather reported.

This was the second day of record-breaking temperatures in the Baltimore-Washington area.

On Monday, BWI Airport hit 5 degrees, breaking the record of 10 degrees, set in 2009; and Dulles, at 1 degree, broke the low of 12 degrees, set in 1980, according to Fox 45. Dulles also received 4.9 inches of snow on Monday, the same amount as it received in 1978, according to WJLA.

You are correct. Global warming can cause extreme weather, including record snow and cold like we've been having. So feel free to cuss at it all you want.

just remember how cold you are this winter as you crank up the AC trying to get back her over the summer. AC use and it's Freon are big contributors to global warming. Staying cool in the summer is causing you to be COLD in the winter.
