Ash Wednesday Services in Severna Park

Here's a list of Ash Wednesday services in the area to help start your Lenten season.

Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent for many who follow the Christian faith.

It is the day where Christians bear the mark of the black ashen cross on their foreheads and prepare for the period of sacrifice that ends with the celebration of Easter.

Here’s a few services throughout the day for Ash Wednesday in Severna Park.

St. John the Evangelist Church

  • Noon
  • 4:45 p.m.

St. Martin's-in-the-Field Church

  • Noon
  • 7 p.m.

Our Shepherd Lutheran Church

  •  6 p.m. short family worship
  •  7:30 p.m. traditional service with special choral music

Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church

  • Activities 5:30 p.m., dinner 6:30 p.m. (Tickets available in Fellowship Hall)

Severna Park United Methodist Church

  • Noon
  • 7 p.m.
