Severn School students past and present as well as community members can gather at the school on August 23 to honor a beloved Latin teacher who died last month.

A celebrity athlete will soon make his way to Severna Park to inspire local runners and triathletes to reach their full potential. Chris Lieto, the fastest American Ironman and one of the top triathletes in the world, will be the guest of honor at a dinner at the Severna Park Community Center on September 4.

3. Local Mom Promotes Awareness Through RISE for Autism
After her son was diagnosed with Autism in 2003, Severna Park mom Cheryl Antlitz began attending seminars and gathering as much information as she could about the disorder affecting her son. Now she is leading the fight to help other individuals with autism and their families.

4. Witness Chases, Tackles Man After He Steals from Car in Severna Park
An Annapolis man was chased down and tackled by a witness, and ultimately arrested after he broke into a parked car in Severna Park Wednesday afternoon, police said.

5. Severna Park Middle Student Wins Playwriting Competition
Severna Park Middle School student Madeline Viteri is just 12 years old, but is already quite the accomplished playwright. The rising seventh-grader won the Twin Beach Players Kids Playwriting Festival and is having her play Booked performed in the eighth annual festival in North Beach.
