Patch runs down weather, tides, events, community voices and more.

Here are five things you need to know today around Severna Park:

1. WEATHER & TIDES » Breathe in that cooler air while you can! Weather.com is calling for scattered thunderstorms with highs in the low 80s on Wednesday. Evening lows will be in the low-to-mid 60s.

Wednesday’s tides at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis: high tides at 6:56 a.m. and 7:23 p.m.; low tides at 1:42 p.m.

2. AROUND TOWN » Celebrate Christmas in July with Bruster’s Ice Cream

3. YOU SAID IT » What are your thoughts on driving over the Bay Bridge? Check out this post: Following Friday Accident, AAA Seeks Bay Bridge Safety Review. Patch reader Carl Lazar commented, "The 301 bridge over the Potomac is scarier then the Bay Bridge. Two way traffic at 50 miles per hour on a 22 foot wide span. What happened is a shame and maybe now they will build a third span, we pay enough taxes to afford one." Tell us what you think by leaving a comment.

4. ICYMI » Mi Pueblo II Gearing Up for Opening

5. PATCH HOW-TO » A note about our new Patch sites: If you are adding a blog or event to the site, ALWAYS save a copy in another format. It's a great thing to do in case your computer freezes, the site slows down or you accidentally hit the delete button.
