DESCRIPTION:Benfield Galley is pleased to present "The Many Faces of Wate
 rcolor" an invitational solo exhibit of watercolors by nationally recogn
 ized Maryland artist Ardythe Jolliff.&nbsp\; The exhibit opens on May 23
  and continues through June 23\, 2011.&nbsp\;\nAward-winning artist Ardy
 the Jolliff of Edgewater\, Maryland\, had devoted her career to painting
 .&nbsp\; Her paintings invite viewers to use their imaginations and expl
 ore the wonders of nature.&nbsp\; She depicts light and shadow\, rich co
 lor and the world's special glow in her watercolor paintings.&nbsp\; Her
  subject matter ranges from flowers\, birds\, and shells to buildings\, 
 landscapes and water views.&nbsp\; She is well known for her local scene
 s of Annapolis and the Naval Academy.\nThe public is invited to meet the
  artist on Saturday\, June 2\, 2012\, 2 - 4 pm.&nbsp\; Jolliff will disc
 uss her techniques and the source of her inspirations when creating a pa
 inting.&nbsp\; Light refreshments will be served.&nbsp\; This event is f
 ree to the public.
