The Friends of the Arts (“FOTA”) will hold a Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, December 8, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Severna Park Community Center, Holy Grounds Youth Center, 617 Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard, Severna Park, Md., in conjunction with Hollyberry Garden Club’s greens sale. FOTA will be selling all manner of holiday items including fun holiday jewelry, gently-used ornaments and decorations. FOTA has been fundraising for the arts for over 30 years. Proceeds of this sale will be applied to the FOTA Scholar program that raises two $2,500 art scholarships each year. FOTA’s meetings and trips are held on the second Tuesday from September through June and its members invite anyone who would like to learn more about membership to contact Membership Secretary Aileen Thomas at 410 266-8784 or to e-mail FriendsoftheArts@excite.com.

More About Severna Park Community Center
Severna Park Community Center is conveniently located in the center of town and offers a selection of meeting and activity rooms for rent to the public. Among the many offerings are swimming programs, a warm therapy pool, basketball, volleyball, dance classes, art classes, a dance studio and more. The building is home to the historic Holy Grounds Youth Center, located next door. The space accomodates up to 150 people.
It is known for its annual special events, such as an annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser, haunted holy grounds, free adult flu shots and a health fair, Christmas holiday plant sale, fitness expo, Valentine gifts for adults and kids program and national day of dance, to name just a few. All are welcome at the center, with programs and classes for all ages.
