Chiari Malformation is a serious neurological disorder affecting 300,000 people in the US. The Conquer Chiari Walk Across America is a series of local awareness and fundraising walks held across the country on the same day. Join us on this special day and help the thousands of families struggling with this terrible disease.

Please join local Severna Park middle schooler Megan Killpatrick as she coordinates this event for the second year at Kinder Farm Park. Last year's event raised more than $25,000 to fund Chiari research.

Participation is free. T-shirts will be provided for pre-registered walkers with a minimum donation of $25 (deadline is 8/12). For more information, to register as a walker, or to sponsor a walker, contact Patrick or Cheryl Killpatrick  at (443) 286-7367 and ConquerChiariWalkMD@verizon.net or visit www.conquerchiari.org

More About Kinder Farm Park

Kinder Farm Park

Kinder Farm Park is one of Anne Arundel County's jewels, with 288 acres, once farmland, purchased by the county in 1979 from the Kinder family, the original owners. Located off of Jumpers Hole Road in Millersville, the park is a hub of activity with playgrounds, walking, biking and jogging trails, an active 4H Club, working barns, silos, ballfields, pavilions and events throughout the year. Operated by the Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks Department, the park is lucky to have The Friends of Kinder Farm Park, a group of volunteers who help with funding and host events and activities that highlight a typical working farm set in Maryland during the 1930s. The park is open to county and non-county residents but closed on Tuesdays.
