Holiday events not to miss this season.
If you haven't take the drive over to Sandy Point State Park to view the Lights on the Bay, there's still time.  The annual holiday lights show sponsored by the Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) continues through Sunday (Jan. 2). About 70 animated and stationary displays illuminate the two-mile drive along the Chesapeake Bay and this year's show of lights drew many visitors to the park said Michelle Powell, spokesperson for AAMC. How about taking a walk on the wild side by enjoying some spectacular nighttime light displays during the Smithsonian National Zoo's annual celebration ZooLights– and it's all free this year!
