Severn School's Baccalaureate will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., in Severna Park. Severn School Upper School graduation begins at 9 a.m. Saturday on the Boone House lawn, 116 Maple Ave., where 102 students will graduate. The valedictorian is Tony Olmert of Annapolis with a GPA of 4.3677. The event is imited to families with six guests for outside ceremonies. Smiles, waves, and tears filled the Campus Coliseum at Anne Arundel Community College last night as over 600 graduates and their friends and families celebrated the 49th Commencement at the school. “We are not just a community college, we are our community’s college,” said President Martha Smith in her opening remarks. “Tonight we celebrate our wonderful students and their impressive success.” Nearly 3500 degrees and associate degrees, and over 600 certificates were awarded to the Class of 2011.
