Local Woman to Open Sofi’s Crepes This Summer
The shop specializes in gourmet crepes and will open on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Severna Park.
Severna Park is about to get a lot sweeter, as local woman Abby Larkin has plans to open Sofi’s Crepes on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard this summer. Larkin, 25, spent the last four years working at Sofi’s Crepes in Annapolis and saved up enough money to purchase a franchise location for Severna Park. Having lived in the area her entire life, opening a business in her hometown seemed like a perfect fit. “I grew up in Severna Park and went to Severna Park Elementary right behind the store,” Larkin said. “I thought it would be a great location for Sofi’s, so I bought into the franchise.” Sofi’s Crepes claims to have “mastered the art of crepes” and Larkin said it’s more than just a traditional crepe with cinnamon and sugar. Sofi’s Crepes Coming to Severna Park
The shop that claims to have mastered the art of crepes will open on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in July.
A business devoted entirely to crepes has plans to open up a Severna Park location. Sofi’s Crepes will open at 560 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, next to The Big Bean. The Severna Park location is owned by Abby Larkin. The shop claims to have “mastered the art of crepes” and hopes to open in July, according to its Facebook page. Named after the franchise owner’s dog, Sofi’s Crepes has several locations throughout Maryland, including one in Annapolis. The menu features breakfast, lunch and “sweet” crepes in a wide variety of combinations. Photos: Split Ends' Festival Raises $2,300 for Suicide Prevention
The festival was held on May 4 to raise money for the Morgan Beverly Suicide Prevention Foundation.
Split Ends Salon raised $2,300 for suicide prevention on May 4 with its inaugural Morgan Beverly Festival. The event featured raffles, activities for kids and business vendors in an effort to raise money for the Morgan Beverly Suicide Prevention Foundation. Split Ends co-owner Jennifer Hardison said the festival was very successful and the salon plans to do it again next year. The founder of the Morgan Beverly Foundation is a Split Ends customer whose story had touched Hardison and the salon’s staff. Beverly’s daughter, Morgan, committed suicide in January 2009 when she was 16 years old. The Morgan Beverly Suicide Prevention Foundation’s mission is to prevent suicide among adolescents, teenagers and young adults in Anne Arundel County. …
