Why Do Democrats in Severna Park Have No Respect for Private Property?

I well remember 4 years ago when Obama was running for president, a life-size cutout of him stood in the front yard of a house on B&A Blvd.  I couldn't help but wonder if anyone would destroy it before the election and it remained untouched for months.

Now, as then, no Republican sign is safe anywhere.  Anne Arundel County, Maryland's Eastern Shore, or Prince George's County....no difference in the attitude of the Dems....nothing Republican is sacred.  And for those of you out there who would argue we destroy our own signs just to be able to complain...no volunteer who has spent hours, blood, sweat and tears to build them and put them up, would destroy their own handiwork.

Shame on the people responsible.  Until and unless Barack Hussein Obama is re-elected, we still have free speech and the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

But if he is re-elected, you will see all that taken away from us.

Amy, Yes shame on the people responsible.....This is destructive and the work of vandals. Mean spirited too... But to make a broad sweeping accusation that this is the work of "Democrats in Severna Park" is just that....an accusation with no merit orevidence. It just incites more anger and an invitation to more destructiveness.

In your own words on Patch (Sept. 26th) and about the same thing you wrote..." My guess is that the teenagers just can't help themselves. Why has that changed?

Then to take the leap that somehow President Obama is responsible.....well that illogical conclusion speaks for itself.

I agree with Judith. Saying "the Democrats of Severna Park" is a broad generalization. I myself am an Obama supporter and I hate to see any signs of any party vandalized. It certainly is disrespectful. But when my Kerry-Edwards sticker was ripped off of my car in 2004, I certainly did not blame "all Republicans." In fact, I blamed no one at all. Please do not be so quick to blame and generalize. It helps nothing.

Great article! I drive by one of those vandalized signs every day and think to myself, "Now, what does that say about Obama supporters!?"

I would doubt (although one can never be sure) that this is the strategic work of those darned Democrats in Severna Park. Come on, this is ridiculous.

To the commenter: If the article referred to "those who dislike Romney, or those who prefer his opponent" would that be alright? Jeez guys, grow up, you're sounding like the limousine liberals who haven't been mugged yet" from my youth. Stop being so thin skinned because the tatoo is about wear off. Of course, a democrat supporter did this, who else would?

This is bad. To think it can go as far as a Geometry teacher ridiculing a student wearing a Romney T shirt. This is when it goes too far. The girl is scared to go back to school. All she was doing was exercising her right to free speech. Now, if the school had a policy of no political t shirts that would make it equal for both parties. But one teacher felt it was her right to mark out Romeny's name on the shirt. I think both parties agree that is going too far.

In looking at the pictures of all the destroyed signs it sure looks like there's an organized campaign to go after the Republican candidates. Sure don't see that with the few Democrat signs in S.P. And that airport on Rt. 50 has Cardin signs which haven't been touched.

Your comment is inappropriate. Shame on YOU. How could you lower yourself like that. I used to punish my children for falsely blaming others. You are not a good example of a Republican -- or maybe you are.
