BLOG: Time for a Mid-Year Resolution?

The height of the summer season is usually a period of self-indulgence rather than self-improvement, but if you fall in the latter category you're in luck because there are lots of ways to advance personal goals.  In some cases, you can improve yourself through contributions and also enjoy it.

One case in point is the recent golf tournament that raised $28,000 for the Johns Hopkins Children's Center. Now in its 30th year, the Tower Federal Classic Golf Tournament hosted dozens of golfers at Renditions Golf Club in Davidsonville. Part of the funds came from a $10,000 donation from CO-OP Financial Services, which operates the Miracle Match program to encourage credit unions, chapters and leagues to create and participate in local Children’s Miracle Network fundraisers.

If golf is not your activity, there are lots of others.  A good starting point is here, http://marylandvolunteercenters.org/.
