What's Up With the Quiznos in Severna Park Closing?

Popular eatery formerly located in Robinson Crossing shopping center closed.

Quite a few Patch readers have commented on the closing of the Quiznos in Severna Park and also the other location in Pasadena. That leaves Quiznos fans only one remaining close by, which is located on Veteran's Highway in Millersville.

Quiznos spokesperson Allison Riley responded to the question via e-mail: "Each Quiznos location is an independently-owned and operated business, and as such, store closures are determined on a case-by-case basis by individual store owners."

Quiznos does not have any new store locations slated to open in Anne Arundel County in the near future but are hoping to re-open the Pasadena site located at 8154 Ritchie Hwy and are actively searching for a franchisee.

Unfortunately, there has been a lot of online discussion regarding Quiznos and many of their franchises closing.

While the link below is an opinion blog and not an official news source, it contains some interesting information posted by Quiznos franchise owners that readers should be made aware of:

This link details the lawsuits that Quiznos has been facing with it's franchise owners:

It is no surprise to me that the local Quiznos locations have closed suddenly. Buyer beware.

I had a really terrible experience at the Severna Park Quiznos several years ago - terrible enough that I haven't gone back to any Quiznos since. Good riddance, especially to the Severna Park location!

So where can one get a decent sub in the Park?? I have never cared for Subway which is all bread and barely any meat. Actually Wawa subs are pretty good but that's a bit of a drive to Millersville.

Give Geno's or the Swverna Park Deli and Convenience Store next door a shot. I don't know if Geno's makes cold subs but they make a mean cheesesteak. The Deli is worth a try too and both are right here in the Park! Subway has also upped the ante with their toasted sandwiches.

It's actually Jeno's (pronounced "Jen Oh's" steaks. I JUST tried one for the first time a couple weeks ago and they are heavenly!!!

Thanks Carrie, according to Jeno's menu, they have a variety of subs. Definitely worth a look!

Quiznos is reopened in Pasadena at 8154 Ritchie Highway. The owner is Mike Willard and he's a friendly, welcoming guy. Check it out!
