Kid’s Fun Fest and 1K Fun Run
When: 9 a.m. Saturday
Where: Kinder Farm Park
Details: The Fun Run is set to begin at 9 a.m. and will be followed by face painting, games including a frog toss and limbo log, and hay rides.
Free car wash
When: 9:30 a.m. Saturday
Where: Park Plaza (between Bill Bateman's and Ledo)
Details: Get your car washed and support the Severna Park High School band.
2012 free community shred fest
When: 10 a.m. Saturday
Where: Arundel Federal Savings Bank

Health fair

Where: Wayman Good Hope A.M.E. Church
Details: Experience free flu shots, body-mass-index screening, blood-pressure screening and more at this free health fair.
Events out of town
Orioles vs. Yankees
When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Where: Camden Yards
Details: The Baltimore Orioles take on the New York Yankees while looking to claim sole possession of first place in the AL East. Friday and Saturday's games will begin at 7:05 p.m., while Sunday's will get started at 1:35 p.m.
