Thursday’s Olympic Viewing Guide
Here’s a recap of Wednesday's winners and a roundup of Thursday’s Olympic events you don’t want to miss.
Olympic action continued on Wednesday in London and the U.S. brought home gold in swimming, cycling and continued to rack up the wins in volleyball.
If you missed some of yesterday’s events here’s a brief recap (for a complete list of results for Wednesday’s events visit NBC’s website):
- Women’s water polo tied Spain 9-9.
- The U.S. beach volleyball team, Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal, defeated Latvia two sets to none.
- The U.S. women’s volleyball team defeated China three sets to none to remain undefeated in 2012 Olympic play.
- U.S. cyclist Kristin Armstrong won gold in the women’s individual time trial.
- In beach volleyball, U.S. team Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings dropped an Olympic set for the first time ever to Austria. However, they came back to win the final two sets, 21-8 and 15-10.
- The U.S. women brought home gold in the 4x200 freestyle relay.
- U.S. swimmer Nathan Adrian won gold in the 100-meter freestyle.
- U.S. gymnast Danell Leyva earned a bronze medal in the men’s all-around competition.

In prime time tonight, Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte will go head-to-head in the 200-meter individual medley. Lochte and U.S. swimmer Tyler Clary will compete in the 200-meter fly. and U.S. gymnasts Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman will compete in the individual all-around for Olympic gold.
